Reader
The public reader is the published book. It is not pictured here.

The first time someone opens a book, a turning animation plays over the page, unless the book owner turned it off. Clicking or turning a page clears it. The help button in the toolbar plays it again.
A phone shows one page. The reader also has zoom, pan, full screen, thumbnails, text search, and a page slider. #page=5 opens that page. Sound and video can keep playing when the page turns. A book can offer a PDF download.
When the book owner turns auto-flip on, the toolbar has play and pause plus a seconds-between-turns control. That control starts at the speed saved on the book and lasts for the visit. Auto-flip can start by itself or wait until the reader presses play. It pauses when the reader turns a page, and it stops on the last page unless the book is set to loop back to the start. People who prefer reduced motion are not started automatically. Play still works.
